Try a Chapter Tag #2

Hello everyone!
I currently have three unread books checked out from the library and am having a hard time deciding which one to read first, so I decided to do a try a chapter tag to help me decide. I think this is a fun way to pick your next read.

Book Option 1 - Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor
The first chapter was 13 pages long (including a 2 page prologue). I really enjoyed the writing, but I could feel myself drifting away from the plot. This first chapter was very confusing to me and I didn't understand what was going on. In my head I was thinking the story was something else than what it ended up being. I don't know if I'll read this book at this time because it doesn't seem to be what I'm in the mood for.

Book Option 2 - Die For Me by Amy Plum
This chapter was 8 pages long (including a 1 page prologue). I did like what I read, but was it enough that I want to pick it up now? I found the main character to be annoying. I liked her sister, but she complained the whole time. Like, your in Paris, go take advantage of that. I would be interested to see where the story goes from there, but I don't know if it's the book I'll pick up right now. It seems like a book to read during the summer months for me.

Book Option 3 - New Moon by Stephenie Meyer
This chapter had 29 pages. It picked up pretty quickly from where Twilight left off. I loved diving right back into this story. I really like the writing (even though it's not the best). I enjoy how all of the chapters end with some kind of cliffhanger making you want to continue with the story. Could this possibly be the book I'll be picking up?

I've decided that I'm going to read New Moon. I'm going to save the other two for a future time, they just weren't what I was looking for at this point in time. I'm intrigued to see how Bella and Edward's story progresses and what happens next.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

  1. Is this your first time reading the Twilight series? I am re-reading it for a university course at the moment and I am perhaps loving it even more than the first time around! It’s nothing intellectual, but it’s the perfect form of escapism.

    1. It is my first time reading the Twilight series and I am really enjoying it so far. It took me so long to pick them up because I was deterred by all the hype and I'm sad that I didn't pick them up sooner. But the books are good so far.
