Gilmore Girls Book Tag

Hello everyone!
I thought it would be fun to do this book tag for one of my favorite tv shows.

1. Lorelai - A character who has a witty or sarcastic sense of humor.
Mark Watney from The Martian by Andy Weir. His character was hilarious and I laughed through most of this book.

2. Rory - Your favorite classic.
The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux

3. Luke - A book you secretly love but are afraid to admit.
No books come to mind for this question. If I really like a book, I don't hide it.

4. Lane - A musical character.
Rune from Roseblood by A.G. Howard.

5. Dean - Your first book love (character).
Maxon Schreave from The Selection series by Kiera Cass.

6. Sookie - A book that you devoured.
The Crown by Kiera Cass. I read this book all in one night.

7. Jess - A book that you love that everyone hates.
Red Queen series by Victoria Aveyard. Not everyone necessarily hates this series, but it has gotten quite less popular. I really enjoy the storyline and character development.

8. Miss Patty - A book that was ruined by all the hype.
Probably Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I did like this book, but I feel like I would've enjoyed it more if it wasn't so hyped up.

9. Emily Gilmore - Your most expensive book.
I don't really buy books full price, I find them cheaper from other places, so I don't know what my most expensive book would be.

10. Paris - An uptight character.
This one is tricky to think of, but I'd have to say Raquel from the Paranormalcy trilogy by Kiersten White.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Reputation Book Tag

Hello everyone!
I recently did the Taylor Swift book tag (you can find it here) and I mentioned that I would do the Reputation book tag. I saw this over at A Book Lovers Playlist. She has an amazing blog that you should definitely check out.

1. ...Ready for it? - Your favorite book in a series.
This was the perfect conclusion to America's story. I absolutely adore this book.

2. End Game - The biggest end game you've rooted for.
Lauren and Tamani from the Wings series.

3. Don't Blame Me - The most embarrassing/unlikely book you were crazy for.
I can't think of a book for this one.

4. I Did Something Bad - A book you spoiled for someone.
Not only was I spoiled for the ending, but I also spoiled it for other people. Oops.

5. Look What You Made Me Do - A character that rose from the dead (figuratively).
Diana from Wonder Woman: Warbringer. She feels like she has to prove herself throughout the book and eventually does.

6. Delicate - A book you fell in love with from the first page.
Roseblood by A.G. Howard

7. So It Goes... - A series that made everything else disappear.

8. Gorgeous - A character so gorgeous they make you want to sink and drown and die.
I'd have to go with Maxon Schreave from The Selection.

9. Getaway Car - A book or series you abandoned.
The Winner's Curse trilogy by Marie Rutkoski

10. Dancing With Our Hands Tied - A character you would stick by through an avalanche.
Michael from the Michael Vey series.

11. King of My Heart - Your OTP
Michael and Taylor ❤

12. Dress - Characters you don't want to be best friends.
Thomas and Brenda from The Maze Runner trilogy. You don't meet Brenda until the second book, but I never liked their friendship.

Meeting some of my favorite authors. I will never forget those experiences.

14. This Is Why We Can't Have Nice Things - A book you physically ripped or damaged.
A book doesn't come to mind for this one. I'm very careful when I'm handling books.

15. Call It What You Want - A book you finally finished this year.
The Harry Potter series! I've been reading that series on and off for so many years, and finally got around to finishing it.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Top Ten Popular Books I Haven't Read Yet

Hello everyone!
I thought it would be fun to show some of the popular books I have not read yet, but I'm really looking forward to reading. Hopefully, I can read most of them this year.

I'm shocked I haven't read this book yet. I love reading books set in World War 2, they always interest me. I would love to read this one very soon, but we'll see.

I've owned this book pretty much since I heard it was becoming a movie. I haven't read the book or seen the movie yet. I'm still very interested in the premise of this book.

I've heard so many good things about Laini Taylor's writing style, and I can't wait to eventually read this book.

A lot of people who have read this book say it's really good, which got me super excited to pick it up one day.

This is a very well loved series, and I still haven't read it. I really want to read this series by the end of the year. I have a feeling I'll really enjoy this series.

This book is a very popular book. It sounds like a book almost anyone could relate to.

I have heard nothing but good things about this book. Plus the cover is stunning! I can't wait to get to this one.

Pretty much everyone who has read this book loves it. I haven't heard a single bad thing about this book which makes me super excited to read it.

People either love or hate this book after reading it. I hope I end up loving this book.

I've been seeing this one around a little more recently, and it sounds so good. I can't wait to read this one.

What popular books are you looking forward to reading? Which of these should I read first?

Thanks for stopping by. Have a fabulous day.

Taylor Swift Book Tag

Hello everyone!
Today I wanted to do the Taylor Swift book tag. I've seen this for quite a while and thought it would be fun to do. I'll be doing the Reputation book tag sometime next week.

1. We Are Never Getting Back Together - A book or book series you were pretty sure you were in love with, but then wanted to break up with.
The Divergent Trilogy by Veronica Roth. I really enjoyed the first book and the prequel book, and am not as in love with the last two books anymore. Especially Allegiant, I hated the ending to that book.

2. Red - A book with a red cover.

3. The Best Day - A book that makes you feel nostalgic.
These were the first "big" books I remember reading, and I really enjoyed them.

4. Love Story - A book with forbidden love.
No books come to mind for this question.

5. I Knew You Were Trouble - A book with a bad character you couldn't help but love.
Maven from Red Queen. I've talked about him a lot on my blog.

6. Innocent - A book that someone ruined the ending for.
I knew the ending, and I still read the book...

7. Everything Has Changed - Pick a character from a book who goes through extensive character development.
Keefe from Keeper of the Lost Cities. It's really noticeable in the fifth and sixth books.

8. You Belong With Me - Most anticipated book release.

9. Forever and Always - Your favorite book couple.
Michael and Taylor from the Michael Vey series. They are couple goals.

10. Come Back, Be Here - The book you would least like to lend out for fear of missing it too much.
The Selection is the first series that comes to mind. I love seeing the books on my shelves and they are gorgeous. I would really have to trust whoever I would lend them out to.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

Review: The Siren by Kiera Cass

Hello everyone!
I recently just finished reading The Siren by Kiera Cass. The Siren follows a nineteen-year-old girl named Kahlen whose family is drowned in a boat crash. Kahlen pleads for her life and the Ocean gives her a sentence as a siren for 100 years. Life as a siren isn't all that it cracks up to be. Yes, they don't get injured/sick, but they are commanded to sing people to their death and if they disobey, they die.

Firstly, I just want to talk about the writing. Kiera Cass has a way of writing that keeps you hooked throughout the entire story. There may not be a lot of substance to the story, but the writing is beautiful. The Siren is a quick, easy read that has you flipping pages to find out how the story plays out.

My favorite character would have to be Miaka who is a fellow siren with Kahlen. They treat each other like sisters, and I just really enjoyed how supportive Miaka was of Kahlen. She there for Kahlen through thick and thin, willing to do anything for her sister. I really did love Kahlen's and Akinli's characters, but Miaka's personality really stood out to me. She seems like she has her life in order, but you get to learn a little more about her past that makes you realize being a siren isn't easy for her either.

The love story between Kahlen and Akinli was so beautifully done. It is a case of insta-love, but I really enjoyed. I thought Kiera Cass went around doing it the right way. It wasn't cheesy, and it made me wish I knew someone like Akinli. The relationship between the Ocean and the sirens was well done as well. I feel like everyone can relate to it in some way. The Ocean wants to be loved just as anyone else does.

I rated The Siren 5/5 stars. I thought it was so beautifully written, and I couldn't find anything wrong with it in my eyes. The ending is something you're either gonna love or hate though. After reading this book, I've decided that whatever Kiera Cass publishes, I'll read. If you enjoyed The Selection I recommend you give this book a try.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.

I Love Spring Book Tag

Hello everyone!
Today I thought it would be fun to do a spring book tag. I saw this tag over on another blog called A Book Universe.

1. How is spring where you live?
Where I live, the weather constantly changes. It's generally warm and sunny with the occasional rainstorm. It has snowed in spring before, but I really hope it doesn't happen this year.

2. Most anticipated book release this spring.
I've been anticipating this book release ever since I finished King's Cage.

3. A book cover that makes you think of spring.

4. Where are you going to read this spring?
Mainly in my house, but I do like to read outside occasionally.

5. A cover with the sun on it.
This one took me awhile, but I found this cover of Time Between Us that happens to have a sun in the background.

6. What are your favorite spring reads?
I don't read specific books in spring, but I did make a whole post about spring reads you can check out here.

7. A book with many different colors on it.
I think this cover was beautifully designed and I love the color scheme. I can't wait to actually get around to reading this one.

I hope you enjoyed this tag. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Review: Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo

So I finally got around to reading this book, and I really enjoyed it. This book follows Diana who lives with her Amazon sisters on the island Themyscira. One day, she sees a boat sink and saves a girl, Alia, who she soon finds out is the Warbringer. The book follows their journey in trying to end the Warbringer line.

I really enjoyed the characters. The only one I really disliked was Jason, and that was for a good reason I later found out. I loved how Nim and Theo stuck with Alia through all of her struggles and didn't turn their backs on her. This book had really good friendships.

I also really enjoyed how the author included Greek mythology. Diana grew up learning about gods and goddesses, so she shared some of the stories and I really enjoyed it. It was also incorporated into their mission. It's used in the twist towards the end of the novel. The twist comes out of nowhere and makes you so angry, but it was really well done. Through the whole book, you would never see it coming. It just hits you in the face and you want to scream. Nonetheless, this book was amazing!

I only have one complaint about this book: There wasn't as much action as I was expecting. I figured since it was a Wonder Woman novel, there would be some more action, but most of it happened towards the ending.

I rated this book 4.5/5 stars because I wish there was some more action. There were parts I would find a little dull, but it didn't stop me from enjoying the book as a whole. I highly recommend this book, especially if you're a Wonder Woman/DC/superhero fan.

Let me know if you've read this book and what you thought of it.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous day.

Review: Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling

Hello everyone!
I recently completed the Harry Potter series. It has taken me many years to complete this series, but I've finally done it. This series was an emotional rollercoaster, but I really enjoyed it. My favorite book in the series would have to be Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. I enjoyed all the adventure in that book and the new secrets that were revealed.

This series was fantastic. The characters were so lovable and I found myself getting attached to so many of them just to have them die soon after. The plot was very intricate and even though I had already seen the movies, I didn't want to put the books down. It was like it was my first time being immersed in the Harry Potter world. I can't wait to eventually reread this books in the future.

My only complaint with this series is that in each book the beginnings tend to be a little boring while Rowling builds up to the climax towards the end of the book. Not all of them are this way, but Chamber of Secrets and Deathly Hallows were the ones that I noticed this the most with. This didn't stop me from enjoying the series in any way though.

Ratings:
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - 5/5 stars
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - 4/5 stars
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - 5/5 stars
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - 5/5 stars
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix - 4/5 stars
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - 5/5 stars
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - 4.5/5 stars

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day.
